Brian taught English, PE and Math at an Alternative High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota when he was younger. The school offered drop outs the opportunity to earn their GED’s or High School Diploma. Being a teacher in the capacity of helping these children was a very rewarding time in Brian’s professional life.
In 2001, Brian changed careers and entered the insurance industry, specifically specializing in the senior market. Brian’s primary focus has been Long-Term Care Insurance ever since. He continues to build his knowledge and gain expertise in the senior market to pass along to his clients. He enjoys helping his clients with one of their biggest concerns– protecting their assets, their retirement income, and their family, from Long-Term Care needs. Brian has built a large base of satisfied customers that know they can rely on him to help them understand the big financial decisions facing them.
Brian has been blessed with a wonderful family. He and his wife, Sue, have 3 beautiful girls. Nicole, 21, is a sophomore at the University of Sioux Falls. Katie, 18, is a senior at West Central High School in Hartford, SD, and Emily, 17, also attends West Central as a junior. In Brian’s spare time, he enjoys gardening, fishing, pistol target shooting and reading. He also coaches a girls’ fast pitch softball team.
“To me, selling insurance is like teaching… teaching the pros and cons of what products and solutions are available in a way my clients can understand. My goal is to treat them with the respect and consideration that I would treat my own sister or brother, mother or father.” – Brian
