Jason, born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, worked for 21 years in the manufacturing industry at the General Mills, Pillsbury plant in New Albany, Indiana. After the plant closed, due to corporate downsizing, Jason decided he wanted to pursue a career that would have a direct impact on the community and the people within it. After a chance encounter with a current GoldenCare Regional Manager, Jason found a way to meet his goal of helping others—becoming a Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist. He began his new journey in August 2016. Using his life experience, sincere and authentic personality, and newfound knowledge, Jason has become an agent who is able to offer his clients viable solutions for their Long-Term Care needs.
While Long-Term Care insurance was something Jason knew very little about a decade ago, the reality of both of his grandmothers’ lack of resources necessary for their personal care and his wife’s grandmother’s need to liquidate her assets to pay for an assisted living facility, Jason felt that there must be a better solution. This desire to keep others from having to struggle as his family had done, prompted Jason to pursue a career in Long-Term Care insurance. He knows, from first-hand experience, how the lack of resources and appropriate planning can be a great burden on his clients and their families, thus he strives to educate his clients about their options.
When not working with clients, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His wife, Cindy, has been an elementary school teacher for 23 years and will become an elementary school librarian in the fall. His son, Tyler, just earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and will continue his work in management at United Parcel Service. Jason enjoys riding motorcycles, playing cards, traveling, and trying new and unusual foods.
