Minnesota Medicare Cost Plans Leaving Most Counties

Approximately 400,000 Minnesotans will need to select a different Medicare health plan for 2019 due to the federal law eliminating Medicare Cost plan options in the Twin Cities and across the state.

Many of the insurance companies have begun to send letters to their Medicare Cost plan clients informing them of the changes ahead. While there is no change in coverage for 2018, the insurers want their clients to be prepared to discuss their options with their agent when the 2019 plan details are released. Medicare plan options for 2019 will not be available to the public until October 1st 2018.

“There is no need to worry, we have access to all of the top carriers and our agents are going to be able to provide you with all the best options available in the market today,” says Tim Casey, Vice President of Career Agent Development at GoldenCare, insurance brokerage agency. “We will be holding an open house this year at our office in Plymouth, Minnesota for those who are near the area. We have agents throughout the state who will be able to assist those in other areas. We will be working around the clock during Open Enrollment to help our clients and others navigate their Medicare plan options for 2019. We are committed to providing you with the best health insurance products at the lowest possible cost.”

Medicare plans often include dental, vision, health-club benefits and some include reimbursements for portions of the cost of Part B. It is best to work with a local agent in your area to discover all of the plan options available to you based on your budget and healthcare needs.
