Bob Garrity
Bob has been in the Medicare insurance industry for 14 years. He started as a career agent with Humana. After 8 years, he became a broker for a small agency in 2015 just as Cost plans were popularized. Taking 2 years away due to a family illness, Bob was hired by GoldenCare for Medicare Annual Enrollment Period in the Direct Call Center for six months before COVID took over. He is now a full-time employee and happy to be part of the GoldenCare family.
Prior to an insurance career, Bob worked as an administrator at the Mayo Clinic for 10 years; then, sales of business forms for 10 years, and then started a fulfillment business before Amazon came on the scene. “I feel that we were early innovators in the online order business as technology was in the infancy stage. As a small company trying to grow in an expanding industry, we needed more funding than was available, so I sold to a larger logistics distribution company and became an employee again.”, Bob explains.
Bob is kindhearted, knowledgeable, and always puts his clients first. He is great at helping his clients every step of the way, making an easy transition into Medicare and updating any changes annually.
Bob’s wife Mary Jo is a retired RN. They have two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. They’ve lived in Medina, Minnesota in a condo environment for 16 years. Bob’s hobbies include golf, woodworking, exercising, reading, and writing a “How-To” book.
